The City of North Port offers an abundance of hiking and kayaking opportunities for the avid enthusiast. With nearly 80 miles of freshwater canals, nine miles of the Myakkahatchee Creek, and a portion of the lower Myakka River, North Port is ideal for the adventurous who want to explore.

Hike North Port!
Come Explore the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park! Offering Sunrise and Sunset Guided Hikes with a Florida Master Naturalist. Each Hike is approximately 2 hours, and will end with a campfire and time to relax and have a snack. This is a Great area for birding, to learn about our native flora, wildlife observation and photography.
Cost is $35/person, and Reservation is required. Each Hiker will receive hand crafted natural bug spray or salve. Backpack, water and a snack is required by each participant. Please call for details and information, 941-237-1756
